Standard(s):

6.G.1. Find the area of right triangles, other triangles, special quadrilaterals, and polygons by composing into rectangles or decomposing into triangles and other shapes; apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.



Objective: 


will extend my understanding of area with the introduction of standard units of measure.


Agenda: 

1. Think Now: (10 min)


2. CPM: Chapter 2.2.2
            Problems  
                              2 - 29 (8 minutes)
                              2 - 30 (8 minutes)
                              2 - 31 (a, b, c & d) (15 minutes)

3. Exit Ticket: 
       Use a strategy to find the area of the given figure.
       You MUST show your work!
