Periods 2 & 4  Math

Standard(s): 6.G.1. Find the area of right triangles, other triangles, special quadrilaterals, and polygons by composing into rectangles or decomposing into triangles and other shapes; apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems. Objective:  I will explore the concept of area and develop strategies for measuring the area of a figure.  Agenda:  1. Think Now: (7 min) 2. Exit Ticket:  2 - 25         Find the area of the following figure.
