Periods 1, 3 & 5  Science Class (Math)

Standard(s): 6.EE.2a. Write expressions that record operations with numbers and with letters standing for numbers. For example, express the calculation “Subtract y from 5” as 5 – y. 6.EE.6. Use variables to represent numbers and write expressions when solving a real-world or mathematical problem; understand that a variable can represent an unknown number, or, depending on the purpose at hand, any number in a specified set. Objective:   I will use ratios to compare similar figures. Agenda:  1. Think Now: (20 min)  2.  Review Practice test. (30 minutes) 3. Organization of Living Organisms Model: -------->CLICK HERE <--------- - Students will create a model by listing, drawing and labeling example of each level: Cells, Tissue, Organs, Organ System and Organism.  Team 1 & 2: Find examples from the Respiratory System  Team 3 & 4: Find examples from the Digestive System  Team 5 & 6: Find examples from the Circulatory  System  Team 7 & 8: Find examples from the Muscular System                                        4: Homework: Chapter 4 Study Guide due Wednesday.
