Periods 2 & 4 Math

Standards


6.EE.6. Use variables to represent numbers and write expressions when solving a real-world or mathematical problem; understand that a variable can represent an unknown number, or, depending on the purpose at hand, any number in a specified set.

Objective: 



I will use variables to represent unknown lengths and find the area. 
I will use algebra tiles to represent variables and constants and will practice combining-like-terms to find the areas of collections of algebra tiles. 

Agenda:
1. Do Now (30 minutes)

2. CPM: 6.2.2
Problems: 
                   6-80  (10 minutes) 
                   6-81  (10 minutes)
                   6-82  (10 minutes) 
                   6-83  (10 minutes)
                   6-86  (Exit Slip)




3. Homework due Wednesday!

          - Determination!

         - Math workbook/ or math note paper
